i find it difficult to respect a person whose behavior is based on the behavior of others. women only began shaving a century ago because men started growing beards again, and razor companies marketed to women to keep sales up. if you make a decision to behave a way because it's what you want to do that's one thing, but mindlessly following is quite another.
